What supplies should I bring with my dog for his/her stay?

Please make sure to bring their food, necessary medication, bed (if used), toys and anything else that may help him/her feel more comfortable during their stay. Poop bags are welcomed but not required. We supply food/water bowls and you may request us to use an elevated food/water stand if your dog requires it.

What are your hours?

We allow pick ups and drop offs as early as 7AM and as late as 7PM. If you would like to drop off earlier, we suggest booking an overnight stay the day prior.

Daycare = 7AM-7PM

Overnight Boarding Time Frame = Daycare hours+ following morning until 11AM

Boarding pick ups after 11AM will be charged as Half Day Daycare. Up until 3PM, at which it would be considered a full day of Daycare.

For example, if you drop off at 8AM on Day 1 and pick up your dog at 5PM on Day 2, that is billed as 1 Overnight + 1 Daycare.

How many dogs are boarded at House of Dogs?

We prioritize your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness during their stay in our home. Generally we board under 6-8 dogs at any given time. These limits help ensure the highest quality of happiness and comfort for our pup patrons during their stay in our home. This number may vary slightly depending on factors like dog size, or group chemistry.

Where will my dog sleep?

Your dog will be given their own room within our lovely home! Around 10:30PM-11PM every night after the last play session is over, each pet is separated and given a bedroom, living room, finished basement or dining room area to peacefully doze off. Dogs from the same household will share the same sleep area. The purpose of this separation is to prevent unsupervised 4AM wrestling, unwanted procreation, and ensure the safety of all pets during nighttime hours.

Can I book my dog without doing a meet and greet?

We require meet and greets ahead of time in order to properly vet your dog and ensure the safety of our currently boarded group. Please plan ahead in order to make sure your dog is approved for boarding/daycare.

What is the payment process?

We encourage you to pay through the client portal where you have the option pay via credit/debit, or ACH. Cash/Check is allowed as well. Payment is due on the last day of your dog’s stay.

What is your cancellation policy?

Most cancelled stays are 100% refundable. However, stays cancelled in the last 48 hours will be subject to pay 50% of the total stay cost for the first 7 days of the cancelled booking.

Are there any additional costs involved?

No additional costs! We keep it simple. However, please note your pick up time for overnight boarding when considering the bill.

My dog is not fixed. Is that ok?

That is totally fine but please tell us during the meet and greet and include it in the “My Pet’s Info” section in the Time to Pet portal. The large majority of the dogs that stay at our home are fixed and supervised during playtime. As an extra precaution they also sleep in different rooms overnight to ensure there is no unwanted procreation.

My dog is used to sleeping in a crate and I want to continue crate training during his/her stay. Should I bring his/her crate?

Totally understandable! We want to reinforce the habits you’re building with your pet and make your life easier. To save you the effort of bringing your own: we have crates for small, medium, and large dogs that we regularly clean and sanitize after each use. Please be sure to let us know in your Time to Pet “Pet Info” section that your dog is crated overnight.

My dog does not get along with other dogs. Can I still board him/her with you?

To ensure the safety of our other pup patrons, we would not be able to host your dog. We recommend using Rover.com to find a sitter that best accomodates your dog’s needs.

I have an unexpected trip and need to board my dog ASAP. Can you board on short notice?

We will try our best! We board dogs based on availability within our calendar, holding a maximum of about 8 pups at any given time. We advise clients to book at least a couple months in advance to increase their likelihood of securing a spot in our calendar.

I plan on boarding more than one dog. Are there any discounts?

Yes! We offer a 10% discount off the total price for each additional dog boarded (up to 20% discount total).
